Beltane

On the eve of May

As sunset passes

And the world begins to sleep

Out of her slumber

Flora dances

And the young oak king

Takes his chances

Their love

Our union

Of Earth and sky

A greenwood marriage

Igniting fire

And passions rage

With strong desire

Vitality and joy abound

Hopes and dreams

The new earth sounds

“Summers here”

The elven cry

Make love and dance and skip and sing

To share this very happy thing

Summers here so Farewell Spring
