When I thought you’d died

When I thought you’d died

my heart turned inside out

I wasn’t aware of it beating, only yours

mine was weeping

And now every morning I wake with joy and feel your heart beat next to mine

but mine still sheds a little tear

a tear of fear that’s not quite healed

Catch that tear and hold me tight

Let me feel your body’s warmth

Feel my heart beat next to yours

And heal with love I thought I’d lost
