I can feel the trees energy 

reach up from the Earth into me

I wrap my arms around her tight

Hold her strong trunk with all my might

And bond with her as in I breathe

As raindrops fall upon her leaves 

And feel within my mighty fire

Fuelled by the strength of my desire

For so long here this tree has stood

Alone and not within a wood

And as I pass and hold her hand

With restful calm in nature’s land

I draw passion as here I stand

And with a new found energy

From this lonely life giving tree

Thank you for what you’ve given me

I’ll leave to face my destiny
