Sleepy Loch moves gently with the tide
Babbling brook flows busily by its side
Swallows chatter as they dart under croft
Mergansers parade, their crests aloft
Shag and Eider dive at speed
While oyster catcher forage weed
Plover and sandpiper ready to fly
From hungry heron in the blink of an eye
And thrush and warbler sing the tune
Of a very Scottish afternoon
