Starting the day with a strong tea in bed

Family breakfast then show Bill the shed

Then hop on the tram for a trip into town

Rethink our plans as the north lines are down

Meet at the port street I like it a lot 

Feels continental in 30 degrees, hot

Stumble across a shop selling falafel

At that price and quality well worth a snaffle

Down on a tram to Dunham brew tap

Piss week and only  able to energy sap

Bill lost his cigs so detoured to the shop

We sat in the sun lapping it up 

And back to the tram stop heading vaguely nowhere 

Turns out ’twas the same tram that had taken us there

As there were the lost cigs not one a missing

Extraordinary  tale well worth the sharing! 

But this is the tram that’s taking us  crew

Back to Chorlton & Longford  Park through

Passing the Oak that gave Pascale will

Feeling the need to lie under and chill 

Listening to Murray winning at last

Wishing an ice cream van would drive past.
