Why do you weep? (On the eve of Robins Dads death)
Why do you weep, I am not gone
Within your life my heart lives on
For when warm wind blows through the crops
And windows wet with rainy drops
And summer sun makes all things dry
Remember me, I need not die
And as you act with me not there
And as you eat and drink your fare
Just pause to close your eyes and smile
Stop, remember me awhile
For as new blossom starts in spring
And trees burst bud and children sing
And grasses grow and fledglings fly
Remember me, I need not die
And when tonight is drawing to
Remember friend that I loved you
My time with you was just the start
And so we need not ever part.
Why do you weep, I am not gone
Within your life my heart lives on
(Written the night Robins Dad died)
